Iris passed away July 5th after an operation but her heart was too weak and she slowly slipped away.Iris had a brother Bill ( deceased) sisters Lil, Eileen and Freda( Freda deceased). Iris belonged Stockton and came to live in Bishop Auckland with her husband Jim about six years ago. Jim died two years ago and since then Iris sort of give up on life. Iris has three children Norman, Denise and Angela.Iris was kind and generous to others especially her family and they will all miss her. She is at peace now and with the husband she loved . God Bless and rest in peace.

If there really is a heaven
then i know that's where you are
but i wonder, can you see me
are you watching from afar?
And do you know its Christmas
can you see the candlelight
or the way the pavements sparkle
on a cold clear, frosty night?
And at special times like this one
does the love i send get through?
And i wonder. do you miss me
just as much as i miss you?
But the most important question
that i cant stop asking is why
such a lovely. caring Nana

I can hear the sound of carols
and lights twinkle on the tree
but this christmas time, theres someone
that i wish was here with me
someone loving and kind hearted
that i miss so very much
for her hugs, her gentle nature
and her special, caring touch
But i know shes gone to heaven
just to rest a little while
so i'll celebrate this season
in the memory of her smile
And i'll hope the sun is shining
in a land not far away
where my Nana's with the angels
celebrating Christmas Day
i miss you so much Nana, its not the same without you here. i wish i could have just one more day with you to tell you how much i love you xxx

Ive been and put some flowers on your grave today with Lewis and Mam. Tiegan and Thomas both let a balloon go up into the sky to heaven for you to wish you a happy birthday so im sure you will of got them.

Hiya Nana,
Its your birthday tomorrow Nana, you would be 88 if you were still with us. Not a day goes by that i dont think of you. Tiegan talks about you a lot and tells me how much she misses you. We all miss you so much. You would be so proud of the kids, they would have you in stitches with their antics and things that they say and do. i like to think of you looking down on us all and keeping an eye on us. i'll be going to your grave tomorrow to take some flowers and make sure everything is tidy as you would want it. Take care Nana.

Hello Nana,
we have just had our second christmas without you and it hasnt got any easier than when you first left us. the kids enjoyed christmas day but it wasnt the same sat round the dining table without you, Grandad and Fred there too. John has asked me to marry him and of course i have said yes though it will be a while before we do as we need to save up as we want to do it properly, in church. You have another great-grandson, Lewis, he is 14 weeks old now and so cute. Thomas would have you in fits of giggles with the things he gets upto and Tiegan is getting so grown up now even though shes still only 4. she talks about you a lot and cant understand why you cant come down from heaven to see us. i so wish that you could, even if it was just for one more day, i miss you so much and wish i could give you one more hug and tell you that i love you, but im sure you know that i do and always will.

It was your birthday last week and mothers day the day before it. Me, mam and John went and put some fencing round yours and Grandads grave and put the stones back on, it looks really nice now, especially with all the flowers that you got. We all really miss you and not a day goes by that i dont think of you and wish that we could have just one more day together. Take care, love you all the world.

The Best Nana in the World
We've just spent our first christmas without you. We all miss you so much, but i hope you, Grandad and Fred spent Christmas together and had a good time. The other day Tiegan put your engagement ring on (which i wear all the time now) and asked whose it was. I told her it was yours and she said that we had to give it back to you. I told her that you were up in the sky with Grandad Fred so we couldnt give you it back. She said when you come back down then we have to give you it back then. I wish all my heart that you could come back down and be with us again. We love you so much Nana, take care.
